    Developed as 'Ordinator' by Laboratoires Dausse in France during the 1960s for treatment of psychasthenia. Fenozolone is structurally related to pemoline and acts as a norepinephrine-dopamine releasing agent with weaker serotonin activity. Clinical imaging studies demonstrate focused sensorimotor activation comparable to fluoxetine with greater sympathetic arousal.
